One of the benefits offered by Dr. Anne Nicholas and her team is sedation dentistry for patients going through treatments. This valuable part of Dr. Nicholas’s gentle dentistry approach revolutionizes your experience at the dentist! The idea is to make you as comfortable and as anxiety-free as possible during your time in the chair and to never again feel anxious about having necessary dental treatment done.

The Benefits of Sedation Dentistry

A positive experience: Sedation dentistry also allows you to feel confident and good about coming in for needed dental treatment to maintain your healthy, beautiful smile. It allows you to relax and float gently on the stream of consciousness so that you don’t remember the treatment (forgetting 80 percent of the procedure!) like waking up from an extended nap.

Time saved: The second benefit of sedation dentistry is that it allows all of your dental treatments to be performed in only one or two visits with Dr. Nicholas! From the simple to the complex, whether you need your teeth whitened, a dental restoration for a crown, denture, bridge, dental implant or gum care, the work is done in a short amount of time as possible.

Cost-effective: Since you only come in for one or two visits instead of several spread out over time, you save money! This opens you up to consider other treatment possibilities that you might have never considered because of dental anxiety and cost. With sedation dentistry, you can finally get the dental work you have always dreamed of with confidence.

With sedation dentistry, you can once again chew without pain, look into the mirror with pride, and feel confident when you smile in the company of others! No feeling like you need to hide your smile or avoid eating with others, and no unnecessary dental pain. As you can see, this modern innovation can change your life! If you have any fears of whether sedation dentistry works, Dr. Nicholas and her skilled team are here to put those fears to rest.

What You Can Expect

-Our dental team will give you instructions to follow before you come in for your appointment (dietary restrictions).
-An hour before your appointment you will take a tiny pill.
-Now you can relax while your driver (friend or family) member brings you in for your appointment.
-When you arrive, you can relax while you are escorted by our assistant into the office.
-You will be placed in a comfort room under a warm blanket while your vital signs are monitored. Additional medication will be administered throughout your treatment as needed to keep you deeply relaxed.
-As you relax comfortably, Dr. Nicholas and her clinical team will provide you with the dental treatment you need.
-After the procedure, your driver will be called to take you home. You will want to have someone on hand to stay with you for the rest of the day while you relax and recover.
