If I haven’t seen you in over six months we should be getting concerned about what this is doing to your teeth and potentially to your wallet. After reading the attached article from USA Today, you will understand why.
I have a couple of really important facts to share with you and then an “Ethical Bribe” to get you back in the office, so please keep reading. Like any smart and health conscious person, you like to get the truth. I won’t pull any punches about what I think is going on with your teeth and gums.
According to the U.S. Surgeon General’s office:
FACT: 75% of people over the age of 35 are carrying around a bacterial infection in their mouth. Many are suffering from an advanced form of gum or periodontal disease. The scary part is most people don’t know they have it, because there are barely any signs. However, if you are experiencing any bleeding from your gums when you brush or any teeth sensitivity, you really need a cleaning before it gets worse.
COST: $300 to $1,000. This will worsen based on how long it’s been since you’ve visited a dentist. Every day that goes by, gums disease gets more aggressive and cavities eat away at your teeth.
But Wait…This Isn’t The End!
FACT: 24,000,000 people receive root canals every year, according to the American Association of Endodontists. Most root canals are caused by cavities that are left in too long and can be avoided with regular check-ups.
COST: $750 for root canal therapy. Crowns and posts add another $500-800.
Here’s the good news: You may have NO problems at all. A cleaning and exam would ensure that you keep your teeth and gums healthy. Plus if you have a cavity or two, I can take care of it before it eats away your entire tooth and a root canal or extraction is unavoidable.
Here’s the bad news: If we don’t see you, we can’t help you. It’s just that simple. Your smile is so valuable that you can’t afford to keep putting off your cleaning
The Guilt-FREE Dental Office!
Studies have shown that the number one reason people put off their dental care has nothing to do with fear or pain, but rather the guilt they feel for not going to the Dentist. People keep putting it off because they are afraid to get lectured by the doctor and staff.

Nicholas of”The Palm Desert Center for Advanced Periodontics, Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry,” stop in my office located right here in Palm Desert, California and we will make you feel welcome and will be happy to see you.
