If you’re missing one tooth or all of your teeth, dental implants may be the perfect solution for you. If you have a small dental bridge or partial dentures, implants will be a welcome alternative. Implants are an alternative to a fixed bridge.
Benefits: What is great about implants is that they will last a lifetime, but the crown on top of it will last ten to fifteen years. If there are any problems with either of them before those times, we will fix them for free.
Solution#1: Dental Implants
While nothing could ever replace or be better than your real teeth, I am here to tell you that you’ll no longer need to worry about all the common problems you are currently experiencing with your current dentures.
There is a way that you can have stronger teeth, a better bite, and more confidence that your teeth won’t move around or fall out at the wrong moments. Which means that when a you walk out the door of our office, you’ll actually have a denture that stays in place, won’t move around, pop-up, rub, or fly out of your mouth every time you sneeze or cough.
There’s very little post-procedure pain, which we can take care of with a prescription anyway. The greatest thing about these new dentures is that it
allows you to have more confidence and prevents the fear of your dentures pulling up when you chew, or falling out of place when talking with others. Plus this new procedure is faster, costs less than conventional and slower procedures, and requires no healing time.
It’s simply amazing!
We are one of the few dental practices in the area who offer this new procedure.
Solution #2: Dental Bridge
A dental bridge is a false tooth that is fused between two crowns to fill in the area left by a missing tooth. It is held in place by the two surrounding crowns that are attached to your actual teeth on each side of the false tooth. This is known as a fixed bridge.
This procedure is used to replace one or more missing teeth. Fixed bridges cannot be taken out of your mouth as you might do with removable partial dentures. In areas of your mouth that are under less stress, such as your front teeth, a cantilever bridge may be used. Cantilever bridges are used when there are teeth on only one side of the open space.
Bridges can reduce your risk of gum disease, help correct some bite issues and even improve your speech. Bridges require your commitment to serious oral hygiene, but will last as long as ten years or more.
If you have missing teeth and have good oral hygiene practices, you should discuss this procedure with your cosmetic dentist. If spaces are left unfilled, they may cause the surrounding teeth to drift out of position. Additionally, spaces from missing teeth can cause your other teeth and your gums to become far more susceptible to tooth decay and gum disease. So as you can see after this 3 part series there’s virtually NO embarrassing problem you could have that can’t
be easily and inexpensively solved. And most importantly turned from a miserable embarrassing attribute into one of pride and joy!
